Natalie Koh

 

Natalie Koh, a Singaporean violinist, graduated with Highest Distinction from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) Degree in Violin Performance in 2020. A recipient of the Goh Soon Tioe Centenary Award and the NUSS Medal for Outstanding Achievement, she performs as a freelance professional with orchestral groups such as Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, Resound Collective and New Opera Singapore. In addition, she holds principal positions in Orchestra of the Music Makers and the International Festival Chorus Orchestra. Natalie’s passion lies in chamber playing. 

Her chamber groups have performed on various local platforms, and her love for chamber playing grew very much so from various overseas experiences. This includes Schulich School of Music’s Musical Chairs Chamber Music Festival (Canada, 2020) and the Alpenkammermusik Festival (Austria, 2019). 

Apart from performing, Natalie also teaches part-time at Forte Musicademy. She has also been playing the flute since her secondary school days and currently serves as Principal Conductor and an executive committee board member of Hwa Chong Alumni Band. A strong believer in inclusivity, Natalie has conducted workshops for children with and without special needs. She is constantly striving to reach out to people of all walks of life through music.
