Josephine

Josephine is a Classical pianist, accompanist and piano teacher.

Growing up, she studied piano in Indonesia. She attended her first piano lesson at the age of three, and continued her learning at Sumatra Conservatoire not long after. Since young, she actively participated in concerts, festivals and competitions to gain experience in performing and to motivate her to expand her repertoire.

Her passion in music brings her to pursue her further studies, whereby in 2014 she completed her degree from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts – Royal College of Music (London) under the tutelage of Boris Kraljevic, and in 2021 she graduated with the Master of Music in Performance from ArtEZ Conservatorium in the Netherlands under the tutelage of Frank van de Laar.

During her studies, she has performed as a soloist and a collaborative pianist. She mostly played with violinists and vocalists. She was awarded 2nd prize, Piano Artist Category in Singapore National and Violin Competition 2015, where she performed Saint Saens Piano Concerto No. 2 with Metropolitan Festival Orchestra under the baton of Prof. Chan Tze Law.

Josephine has over 12 years of teaching experience. She hopes to share her knowledge to the younger generation and inspire them to love music even more. She has been nurturing students through exams, competitions, masterclasses and concerts.
